Fixing
For slate installations Solar Limpets use a combination of EPDM seals and a patented base plate design that retains and directs CT1 sealant into the fixing screw hole. Slates do not need to be removed or cut. Please see the fixing guide in downloads for more information.
Cable Entry
The Solar Limpets Tile Blank is simply adapted to provide an efficient, effective 4 or 6mm cable entry point. Please see the fixing guide in the downloads section and the support area for more information.
'L' Bracket for Vertical Rails
The Solar Limpet Metal 'L' Bracket adapts the Limpet Adjustable Bracket to enable the use of rails mounted top to bottom, required for some landscape panel orientation options. Please see the fixing guide in the downloads section and the support area for more information.

These slates are thin, single-skinned, interlocked top and sides and fixed with nails and metal clips.
Installing Solar Limpet roof hooks onto these types of slates should not be attempted until the installer has some experience on standard-type natural and artificial slates and the following document information has been read and understood.

They are exceedingly difficult to replace. Replacing a broken slate due to careless feet/knees or poor installation technique may involve substantial stripping of the remaining slates and referring to the Redland repair system illustrated in the download document.
