These slates are thin, single-skinned, interlocked top and sides and fixed with nails and metal clips.
Installing Solar Limpet roof hooks onto these types of slates should not be attempted until the installer has some experience on standard-type natural and artificial slates and the following document information has been read and understood.

They are exceedingly difficult to replace. Replacing a broken slate due to careless feet/knees or poor installation technique may involve substantial stripping of the remaining slates and referring to the Redland repair system illustrated in the download document.
Solar Limpets are warranted for 20 years, providing the installation instructions are complied with, and the roof has been surveyed as suitable for PV installation.
To maintain the Solar Limpets product warranty, Solar Limpets must ONLY be installed by persons trained & certificated by Solar Limpets.
